New York District Court Denies Motion to Dismiss Securities Fraud Claims Against SAC Capital Based on Insider Trading

On August 13, 2014, Judge Victor Marrero of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, denied the defendants’ motions to dismiss the Joint Consolidated Amended Class Action Complaint, thereby allowing Elan Corp. and Wyeth shareholders to proceed with their securities fraud claims against the defendants based on defendants’ insider trading in the stocks of Elan and Wyeth.
